The Melford Green Alpaca herd is one of the finest in the UK, with our breeding programme designed to deliver animals with fine, soft-handling and bright fleeces. 

After careful shearing each spring, trained Melford Green staff sort and grade the fleeces, to enhance the quality and handle before specialist processing in local spinning mills produce our renowned range of hand knitting yarns. 

Yarns are supplied in a range of colours, grades and weights as well as in your choice of 50g balls and 100g skeins, which are ideal for those wishing to make these yarns even more individual by hand-dying them.
